hmmm. Interesting....
I guess you're into either PS3 or X-Box 360.

Funny...my mom is dying to get herself a Wii this year. I just don't know if she'll really use it ^^;
I've actually play the Wii game before once or twice when I was visiting my cousins over at my aunt and uncle's place the first time around and then it was the second time at my dad's place when my sister brought my nephews over and we play it (I think it was around for my 20th bday last summer ago)
But I'm more into the Playstation type of games. It's easier on me.

Well, I prefer the ps3 and 360 over the wii, but even then I'm more based around pc gaming these days. That said, it's not my reason for disliking the system.
The concept was great, just has no lasting to it. I mean yeah, it's fun to flail your arms about for awhile, but it loses its touch rather quickly. And really, the whole motion thing is all it had going for it. Nintendo never took the time to get 2 things that are fairly important in modern gaming; High Definition, and internal memory.
The game selection isn't really something I'm too interested in either. It just really doesn't offer me much personally. So yeah, it can be great for you, and yours, but I wouldn't say its the greatest. There are many other things out there. o.o
I'd like to think those are some fairly good points in a non-aggressive argument o.o

Those are some excellent points there Joel. Also if you happen to notice (besides the part about moving your arms a lot like you said) for those that are not Wii-users like you and me, it would take gamers a hard time adjusting to some of the buttons on it because the controller is shape like a stick...when they're so used to playing games with controllers that are flat and easier to touch the buttons on.

I know how you feel. That's what I thought when I first started playing the Wii. However, the Wii does have special downloadable games from consoles of Nintendo past (NES, Super NES, Sega genesis, among others) that are played with the Wii's classic controller accessory. That, and you can play GameCube games using special doors on top of the console (when it's vertical) that reveal GC controller ports and memory card ports. As for the Wii remote, I just think of it as a TV remote with a gun-trigger button on it. Also, there's no other video game system that has this particular game that you can play (some of) with your butt (on the balance board). More on this game in my new Raving Rabbids thread

I have no problem with the controller per se, that said, the motion controller is really the only thing it has going for it, and if I wanted to play the older games, I'd play the older consoles. Most of which I still have

Hmmmm....Many of the Wii games are EXTREMELY boring. I only like it for Madagascar Kartz. Plus, the Wii games are so pricey, that I only get a new game every few months or so.
